At this point in time I am focusing on a Light/Sound unit of work for Year 9 Science. I last taught this unit pre-ICT (mid 1990’s) and can see loads of potential for the use of ICT in this unit.

An alternative would be looking at food webs and classification for Year 7/8 Science.

    Hi Everyone,

My topic for my Unit will be centred around Apartheid and Civil Rights in America for Year 11 History.
Focus will be some comparitive between Steve Biko and Malcolm X; Nelson Mandela and MLK; along with some work on the themes and comparisons that can be drawn from the two periods in history.

I will also be leaving some strong links into Units 3/4 Revolutions.
Looking for some fun tasks as well as the serious stuff as a fresh and exciting way to break up the way history is taught.

In working with the current staff teaching this subject the request is for 5 weeks of a unit, however i would be aiming for 10 that can be shortened if necessary.

    Hello!
I’m probably going to look at Twentieth Century history, specifically at the Second World War through to the Vietnam War.
I am thinking of focussing on research, collaboration and co-teaching skills for the students to develop through the unit.
It would be for year ten.

I am also thinking of a year 8 Medieval history unit as well. I can’t decide.

Just had a thought. Maybe going to look at year 10 Geography – either pollution or degradation. This may mean that it could be more relevant for the students and more accessable.
