I have enjoyed this unit, especially looking at the CFQs and working out how to form them. I have never really seen the point of them before or understood how to create them. Now we have looked at them and researched into how they work and looked at other projects and units that are based on them, I can see the point and I am quite excited about using them.
I was excited to look at the VELS standards and realising that my unit fits perfectly into level 5 and even drawns in aspects from level 6.
This section has really helped me focus on my unit and what I want to achieve and it has helped me form the unit in my head.
I can’t think of anything else to say. So, I’ll stop.

I learnt a lot in this module to systematically look at planning the CFQ questions, then planning the activities that address the 21st century skills.
The best part was to get my own blog started for my science questions and look forward to using this mode of online teaching and learning with my students.

    Great points Lex!

I was quite frustrated and am still struggling with the CFQ’s, i do understand the purposes for them and wish I could come up with more or narrow the search field down…

I am excited still about getting my teeth into more of the research needed for my unit, as i feel this is where I am lacking. More knowledge and understanding of the content and what I want to teach will asssit me in the being able to complete this in a more successful manner.

But i is getting a little sleepy… I dont think i am cut out for this much computing!

I have learnt so much during module 2. I enjoyed the Pair and Share of the CQFs . Bringing the Unit Summary and the assessment together in a Power Point is giving a clearer direction.

I am learning so much new stuff, that I am starting to be a little confused! I am still excited about the prospect of learning and utilising ICT in the classroom and developing VELS appropriate materials, but these 2 days have been VERY intensive and overwhelming.

I have enjoyed this unit too. like you Alexia working out the different questions helped my own thinking. I usually get my ideas first then hang them on VELS and the assessment, filling in the gaps. This method seems to reverse my natural inclination but has made me aware of the large range of assessment that is available. Most of it I know but never use as it isn’t in the fore front of my brain. I can see how some of these ideas would promote engagement and ownership. I’ll be interested to see how it effects the students.
